ONLINE SAFEGUARDING & PRIVACY
White Rabbit Drama Club's additional measures for online teaching

The safety of our pupils is of paramount importance to us, and we have taken the below precautions and guidance, in accordance with the advice of www.nationalonlinesafety.com.

We use Zoom Pro to deliver our online lessons and have updated our safeguarding/privacy policy to cover the use of this platform for our online teaching.
Our policy is as follows:
Parent/Guardian Zoom account must be used, rather than child’s.
Parents/Guardians are asked to ensure that children are appropriately dressed for the lesson.
Parents/Guardians are asked to ensure that the lesson takes place in an open space or room with the door open.
White Rabbit Drama Club will email Meeting ID and Password on the day of each class and not before.
Parents are advised not to share the meeting ID or password.
Meeting ID and password will be renewed weekly.
We will avoid emailing a direct link to each meeting.
Waiting room has been enabled and children can only enter with leader permission.
Our Video and Sound default for pupils entering is ‘OFF’. The drama leader will adjust as pupils arrive.
Screen sharing is not enabled.
We never record online lessons and the taking of photos is not be permitted.
Zoom’s private messaging facility is not enabled.
If drama leaders feel that a child is inappropriately dressed or the room is unsuitable, they may have to suspend the lesson.
All leaders require enhanced DBS certificate.
Once all children have entered the class, the meeting room will be locked to ensure only those signed up to the club can enter.

With the above measures in place, we aim to provide the safest and most enjoyable club possible for our young actors.
